The weather does always look worse through a window. The outside looks scarier from inside. Sometimes it’s better to be brave…

I’ve started getting out more this week. Taking the dogs, getting in the car and going for a long walk somewhere beautiful. I’m very lucky that I live in Dartmoor of course. Wherever you live, getting out is one of those things that will make your day better. If I’m up I calm down, if I’m down I cheer up.

There are some exceptions to this rule… crowds of people, noisy places, traffic, any sort of sensory stimulation is bad. But wherever you live, I’m sure there’s a park, or river, or a tree lined street to walk down.

Get out, feel better. Be brave, don’t worry that it’ll make you feel worse, you can always go home again!
