Throughout my life I’ve apologised to various people for just being me. Why did I feel the need to? Probably an insecurity that I’m not good enough, pretty enough, clever enough. In fact the person that I was apologising to was not good enough for me.

People that make you feel inadequate are really not worth bothering with. The right people will see you for the amazing, awesome person that you are.

It’s ok to be an extrovert, an introvert, or anything in-between. When you find your place in this world you’ll realise that you are good enough and you’re where you’re meant to be.

I felt like this when I moved to Hennock… back to Devon. People showed an interest in me, I found that our values and lifestyle was aligned. I didn’t feel that I had to hold my opinions or style back. It was like moving home.

Devon is a very special place. It’s got a north and south coast, with Dartmoor in between. You can be on the beach one minute, in a forest the next and then up on top of a tor. The people in Devon are also very special. They’re incredibly diverse and unique. They’re welcoming and kind. It really is a little slice of heaven.

So I urge you to find your place in the world. Stop apologising for who you are and find somewhere where you can be 100% yourself without having to hold back.
